Bottled to honor a true living legend in the Scotch World and a master in sherry cask maturation, this release marks 50yrs in whisky for Billy Walker, many of them famously spent at the Glendronach making whiskies like this one. Aged for a minimum of 16yrs exclusively in Sherry Butts and bottled with zero additives and at a natural cask strength of 57.1% abv., this is sherry matured whisky like nobody else can do it. Very limited.

History:Distillation was brought to Scotland from Ireland by missionary monks in the 6th century. In 1644, the first taxes were imposed on Scottish distillers by England, with the result that most of the nation’s whisky was soon distilled illicitly. With the Parliament’s passing of the “Excise Act” in 1824, licensing fees for distilleries were much cheaper.
