Albariño, Bodegas Albamar - 2021

Item # 32578 750mL

Complex, multi-layered Albarino from vineyards by the ocean. Salty, briny minerality combined with a leesy texture and ripe fruits linger long on the palate. A delightful, artisanal wine from a family who has been farming vines for generations.

Staff Pick Notes

High acid, bone dry and the kind of wine you want to boogie with until the cows come home. This Natural Albariño is a match for shell fish or light fare, easy to drink with amazing depth. It is brimming with electrified fruit notes; pineapple, zippy citrus and a touch of salty sand. I would suggest this wine to anyone who is looking to impress a wine snob or a future mother in law. Complex, deeply stacked and looking for one hell of a good time.

Located on the Northeast coast of Spain, just north of the Portuguese border, Rías Baixas is home to the famed white grape varietal Albariño. These deliciously refreshing whites typically offer aromas of peach, apricot, and melon, backed by a steely minerality and a lean, crisp finish.

The thick-skinned grapes thrive in the cool, windy climates of Galicia and northern Portgual, yielding intensely aromatic wines with typical aromas of almonds, white flowers, and stone fruits; the best examples...
