Using lots of ingredients local to Australia (Tasmanian pepperberry gives excellent spice) and whole, fresh citrus rather than dried fruit or peel, Four Pillars has made my top cocktail gin. The Navy Strength, bottled up near 58%, splits that citrus between whole Australian oranges, native finger limes, and fresh ginger, with myrtle, cinnamon, cardamom, and extra turmeric for kick. The palate is special. It's full, almost juicy, with a fantastic viscosity that elevates every cocktail it's in. You can probably tell by the botanical list that it makes an exceptional G&T or Gimlet, but try mixing with Zirbenz Stone Pine liqueur and/or St Germain to really show off it's unique aromatics. It's also my personal favorite Negroni gin: 1oz each this, Forthave Red, and Carpano Punt Y Mes for a drier style with mindblowing citrus and complexity.
