Staff Pick Notes

This is a delicious Verduzzo from Friuli, the most northeastern region of Italy. It may not be the most well-known Italian wine region, but without a doubt it's an area that delivers high-quality wines. The vineyards where this wine comes from are about seventy years old. It's a full-bodied wine with aromas of violets. On the palate, you may taste green apple, peach, licorice, and a pronounced minerality. A gentle oily texture makes this wine special. The production is organic and the producers believe that minimal manipulation should be done to achieve stellar wines. Grapes are hand selected. Because of its texture, this wine can be paired both with more rustic mountain dishes or with the delicious seafood from the coast of Friuli.
