There's so much to love about this winery it's impossible to fit it in this small space. Even if I focus on this wine alone it's going to be tough. To start, this is one of the most unique field blends you'll ever have. When the Guiberts bought the vineyard they traveled the world and collected cuttings, then came home and planted them. So what you have is a wine made with uncloned Viognier from Georges Vernay in Condrieu, Petit Manseng from Charles Hours in Béarn, Chardonnay from Comptes Lafon, and Chenin Blanc from Domaine Huet. The rest are rare varieties from places like Israel, Armenia, Switzerland and Portugal, to name just a few. It's a masterwork of harmony and elegance, rich and full bodied, yet so fresh, with wet stone, pear and a faint hint of peach and floral notes. A wine that's far greater than the sum of it parts.
