Patience

It has always been hard for me to find a Merlot that I could really appreciate. But this one has outstanding merit. The flavor of ripe red berries is big and understandable and begs for a stuffed breast of veal or a short-rib dinner. Maybe even a plate of barbecue. The finish is long and pure without a tannin or acid burn. I also think it's worthy of a sipping wine that won't slow you down in the summer. And then we come to the fact that there is no sulphur added which means that its appeal is even bigger. The one thing that you wouldn't want to do with this wine is cellar it for more than a year or two. But for this year it's a winner at a winning price..
