From a very traditional producer comes this stunning Barolo. The historic 6 hectare Monprivato vineyard, documented in registry archive to 1666, is widely considered to be the Piedmontese eqiuvalent of a Grand Cru. The impressive skill of Mauro Mascarello, is demonstrated in this bottle. "Ca d'Morissio" Riserva is aged 45 months in medium sized Slavonian Oak barrels. This is intense with floral aromas and rich texture that is brooding power. Age 15 to 25 years, if you can, or decant for hours and serve with game, red meats and mature cheeses.
