Staff Pick Notes

The bottle is svelte and so is the body, with a little CO2 soft-shoe that lifts yellow and green aromas like morning dew from mountain thyme at daybreak. There is a kind of tongue-twisting mineral crunchiness that you could almost mistake for tannins, soon washed away by a swift current of lemon and ripe white plum. It continues to delight and confound me that we can have wines this joyful, from winemakers this talented at price points this low. But, alas, wine needs representation. It’s just too easy to walk past a shelf in this store and overlook a modest bottle with a modest price tag and have no idea you just missed out on just the thing you came in for.
