Red Vinho Verde is a paradox. Lean yet powerful. Great with light fish but also marbled meats. A rare find but less than $10? I know, it all sounds strange. Pop a bottle and find a wine full of energy. The aroma is packed with dense red fruit, snappy veggies, and violets. The palate pulses with acidity and a smidge of CO2. Taste crunchy red fruits and tart berries. With very little tannin, the wine also flourishes when chilled. A niche wine that checks a remarkable amount of boxes. Confounding? Yes. Sommelier Catnip? Also yes.
