This Villages Côtes-du-Rhône offers a significant step up in quality from a basic Côtes-du-Rhône. Signargues was just granted "named village" status in 2005. This red wine relies more heavily on the Syrah grape than many Côtes-du-Rhône wines, and offers pulpy mixed dark berries, spices, and lithe tannins on the finish.
