Zweigelt, Erdenlied - 2021

Item # 25594 1L

This partygoer's red has approachable blackberries and gravelly minerals. Suede-textured tannins do not dominate the vibrant fruit and acidity. The liter-sized bottle is just right for larger gatherings, especially over small plates of cheese and light meats.

Staff Pick Notes

Our entire Erdenlied lineup is fantastic (including the riesling, Gruner and rose), but the standout is the Zweigelt. Austria has become my "go-to" for easier drinking reds that don't sacrifice flavor or complexity in exchange for a lighter body. In fact, I've made it my house red. Ready to pop open a the drop of a hat. Tart Cherries, cranberries, black pepper, velvet tannins and a mineral backbone will charm the pants off a seasoned Pinot Noir drinker Say it with me : ZWEYE-GELT. It reads as it is spelled. Easy to say and easier to drink.
