Ar. Pe. Pe. is one of the best traditional wineries from the mountain region of Valtellina near the Swiss border. Here, the Nebbiolo grape attains the finesse and precision of Pinot Noir. This scrumptious, Burgundian style of red is full of sweet red berries with a firm grip of tannin on the end. It may bring tears to your eyes. Transparent garnet with pretty forest floral notes, this wine is perfect with all the traditional cuisines of Lombardy and Milan, especially veal shanks and osso buco.
