Sivi Bianco, Radikon - 2021

Item # 28686 750mL

Fair warning, this is not your typical Pinot Grigio. Two weeks of skin maceration lead to a pretty, burnished, copper color on this character-driven wine. This orange wine has complex, persistent aromas of pale berries and a tangy, mineral palate. Decant and enjoy with warm, ripe cheeses and first course fish! The Radikon winery is located in Oslavia, on the plateau that goes from the bridge on Isonzo river, near Gorizia, to San Floriano. This location, close to the Slovenian, border is filled with a vibrant winemaking history that producers like Stanislos Radikon are making popular once more.

The grape that benefits most from the latter of these unusual and ancient techniques is the white varietal, Ribola Gialla, which yields...

There is an entire spectrum of Pinot Gris/Grigio, however, the best of them being subtly aromatic and deeply colored, with formidable structures. Most of Italy's Pinot Grigio is grown in...
