Reminiscent of a Fino Sherry and not your typical bottle of white wine at all. Nutty and velvety Vernaccia from an island of Sardinia. Packed with almond aromas, hay and flowers with subtle white spices. This is an oxidative style of white wine that is reminiscent of sherry. Have this with oven-baked fish baked with lemons. Goes through an oxidative aging process in small chestnut barrels for a few years.

Hailing from the sandy soils on the coastline of Sicily comes this delightfully unusual Vernaccia. The winemaker lets this wine ferment in chestnut barrels under a layer of yeast called Flor. The result is an oxidative white wine for the types of people that enjoy Fino Sherry minus the fortification. Dry and savory. Salty and oily. Golden figs and Castelvetrano olives. Dried apricots on the beach. Rich and peculiar. Pair with grilled squid, olives stuffed with your favorite cheese, or pecan crusted salmon.
