I was lucky enough to become familiar with the Liébart-Régnier House while pouring this charming rosé at a wine event upstairs at Astor Center. This is an unusual blend dominated by Meunier, a grape typically contained to backup status behind Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. However, this beauty is no wallflower. It's an impressive wine that dances across your senses with pretty aromatics of rose and lemon custard, and a lithe, graceful palate revealing raspberries and a deceptively delicate texture. It finishes dry and crisp. As with a dancer, a strong foundation lies under the aesthetics of this wine. A core structure of acidity and balanced flavors means this will work as well as an apertif as with a roasted pork dish.
