Staff Pick Notes

This wine may seem familiar at first glance, but it's a pleasant surprise to try. Cabernet Franc grows in regions the world over, but it's nice when it showcases the individuality of where it's grown. Keuka Lake Vineyards is a farm stead located on a gradually sloped lake side (Keuka Lake is the Y-shaped lake at the western edge of the Finger Lakes). Minimal intervention wine making in this cool climate showcases this Cabernet Franc in it's most delicate expression. A translucent garnet color in the glass. Soft aromas of ripe cherries and medicinal herbs lead to lush red plums and just a hint of chilies. Refreshing like a gust of fresh Spring air. Familiar, yet not.
