I would never imagine myself being a champion for a Virginia winery, yet here I am telling everyone I meet that they should be drinking wines from Early Mountain. All of the wines are terroir-driven and express delicious flavor, fine minerality and balance. You won't find overt new oak or high alcohol. This Cabernet Franc is especially delicious. Silky red fruit, a hint of herbs, fine tannins. Fans of Loire Valley Cab Franc will be delighted. If you ever find yourself in Virginia, pay a visit to their stunning winery; it was voted best tasting room in America.
