Staff Pick Notes

Casa Lapostolle has been in existence since 1994, but Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle’s family has been in the booze business since the 1820s. Can you guess the brand based on her name? Alexandra & her husband Cyril fell hard for the compelling beauty & the terroir of the Apalta Valley in Colchagua. The region produces highly sought after wines and Cabernet Sauvignon thrives here. Paola Muñoz is currently the head winemaker at Lapostolle & she really knows how to showcase all of the positive characteristics of the grapes she uses. This wine is ripe but not jammy, with cassis, currant & just a hint of the distinctive bell pepper quality unique to Cabernet Sauvignon. A solid example of what Chilean reds offer to the rest of the world.

Today, Cabernet Sauvignon has a...
