Pairing Advice

In many respects, Castle Rock is right in between the styles of Bogle and Byrd-Cooper. With more tannins and acidity than Bogle, Castle Rock can be an apt partner for food, but it certainly does not require food to be tasty. This is a wine I would suggest for classic 1960s Sunday dinner food: roast beef or meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy. The wine’s flavors are easy and there is a comforting oak-kissed quality that would do wonders with a well-made meatloaf.
