The Six Isles Scotch

Item # 19564 750mL

Values like this one have become extremely rare in the Scotch category over the past few years which is just one of the reasons we are thrilled to offer a limited amount of this exceptional bottling of single malt whiskies. Made exclusively from single malts drawn from the top distilleries on the islands of Islay, Jura, Skye, Mull, Orkney and Arran this special spirit not only represents a huge swath of Scottish distillation heritage in one dram but also big flavors for a tiny price tag. At turns smoky, spicy and citrusy the evolution of flavors takes us from notes of camphor, honey and freshly peeled lemons to apricots, tangy peat, sweet toffee, toasted malt and beyond. A must have special edition for all whisky lovers.

Staff Pick Notes

What is a blended malt? Glad you asked... Blended Malt whisky is whisky blended from several individual single malts (exclusively malted barley), each of which is distilled at a different distillery, whereas traditional blended whisky may blend in whiskies made from other grains, such as corn. The Six Isles Scotch is exactly that: a blend of six individual single malts, one from each of the six whiskey-producing islands of Scotland (Islay, Jura, Mull, Arran, Skye, and Orkney). Simultaneously complex and concentrated, it is also deceptively lighter and more nimble compared to some of the bigger names. This little gem will surprise you and is very easy to drink. At this price, it stands up to its other smoky island cousins that cost twice as much!

Distilleries started to take out licenses, and since then, the distillation industry in Scotland has been continuously expanding....
