Is there anyone out there making better liqueurs that Rothman and Winter? On a quality to price basis, I don't think so. Their peach liqueur is another example of they do best. By using peach eau de vie from Austrian peaches and sweetening it with the pressed juice and skins from the same fruit, they have created a simple, elegant, balanced and juicy (a little savory too) liqueur. Its one of only a few liqueurs I would drink by itself, though it truly shines when paired with high quality tonic. Sure, it would wonderfully complement other ingredients in complex cocktails, but very few of us are bartending at Death and Co., so skip the 7 ingregient cocktail and enjoy this elixr on its own.
