From the red-hot Cacao Prieto Distillery in Red Hook, Brooklyn comes this fantastic rye. As with their Bourbon, they are hand-selecting Kentucky rye that is sent to the Prieto Distillery in barrel. They then use a pure, limestone-rich water from the Widow Jane Mine in the Catskills to cut their whiskey to proof. Aromas of pine nut, cinnamon, and vanilla bean were among the notes we detected on this complex expression. The taste is a harmonious balance of fruit, spice, and vanilla, making this one of the best rye whiskeys available on our shelves.
