Here's my trick to the most awesome Manhattans: always have two of these half-sized bottles of Carpano, one open in the fridge, the other ready to step up. Vermouth doesn't last forever, and I find that after around 10 days after opening, the intense aromatics that are so pleasurable start to fade. This little trick works to give my favorite cocktail the elegance I require. My favorite recipe: 2 oz. Old Scout 7-Year Rye 2 oz. Carpano Antica Dash of orange bitters Half bar spoon of Maraschino cherry syrup Stir on ice and serve up on a Luxardo Maraschino cherry (pricey but amazing). Cheers and hope you enjoy!
