Tasting Notes

Glen Grant is known for producing whisky with distinct, malty characteristics, which makes this single cask unique, since there is very little of that maltiness present. Matured in a second fill bourbon hogshead cask, the nose is overwhelmingly floral and fruity, with notes of pear, apple and lavender. The palate is flooded with variations of apple and spice. Roasted green apples, warm apple pie, and pureed apple abound. This is a rare opportunity to try an expression completely different from the distillery release.
