Green Spot has been one of the most important releases in the past few years as part of a return to form for the Irish Whiskey category. This traditional single pot still whiskey is famously matured in both used Bourbon barrels and ex-sherry casks and for the first time the team at Irish Distillers has finished this expression in wine casks from the great Leoville-Barton estate in St. Julien, Bordeaux. Notes include grape jam, summer berries, Madagascar vanilla, honey, hay and a spicy palate full of butterscotch and caramel flavors. Limited release.
