And indeed that has been the case at this 10 hectare estate which will celebrate its 240th anniversary this year. Husband and wife Gerald and Claudine along with their son handle every single step of production including the long elevage process in the cellar that requires meticulous attention to detail as they eau de vies age and transform into first class Cognacs. All of the cognacs in the Heritage blend have aged for a minimum of four decades and have been bottled without the addition of caramel, sugar or other additives. The first stages of rancio peak through on the opening notes and the spirit intensifies with some aeration revealing complex notes of ripe tropical fruits, milk chocolates, creme brulee, coconut cake, thick honey, baking spices and fresh pastries. One of the most impressive and captivating Cognacs in the world.
