Paul John Classic Single Malt Whisky

The Paul John Distillery has been making waves in the whisky world for years now and we are beyond thrilled to finally be able to share these with our great customers. Using the great legendary malts of Scotland as their inspiration, the team at Paul John puts a distinctive Indian seal on these whiskies that will appeal to whisky drinkers of all stripes. The Classical Select cask is made from six row winter barley grown at the foothills of the Himalayas. Distilled on traditional copper pot stills and aged in used American Oak barrels the whisky is bottled un-chill filtered at a cask strength of 55.2% ABV. The subtropical coastal climate of Goa aids the maturation of this whisky in ways that distillers from cooler climes could only be envious of. The profile is well-developed and reminiscent of aged Scotch like older Glenrothes or Clyenlish with notes that include honeycomb, dried pineapple, red licorice, peanut butter fudge, caramel, tarragon and a hint of campfire. A beautiful achievement. We love this whisky!
