But due to the scarcity and old age required for the trees plus the difficulty of fashioning them into barrels, whiskies matured in these barrels are extremely rare. This special release rare stocks aged exclusively in Mizunara for a minimum of 18 years with some whiskies aged for as long as fifty years.
