Staff Pick Notes

This wine is slightly creamy and slightly oaky and has enough fruit to give it structure, were my thoughts when I tried this Chardonnay. I had it on its own for the first time and did not pair it with any food that night, but I remember every single sip, every single flavor: subtle citrus and green fruit notes. Later, I found out that the Peirano winery has been producing wines for more than a century and that it was one of the first wineries founded in California. No wonder why it is of great quality. The skills required to make great wines are not learned overnight, it takes time and dedication. While I was sipping on this wine, I imagined a table with light cheeses, green salads, roasted chicken, and freshly baked lobster tails.
