The name of this wine, Sant' Agata refers the the saint protector of the Lambrusco di Sorbara grape. The Lambrusco produced here is famous for creating delicate but at the same time expressive wines. The Paltrinieri family has a long history in Lambrusco production. Achille, the grandfather of the current producer started growing grapes in 1926. Alberto and his wife Barbara are in charge since 1998. On the nose you can notice aromas of forest berries. On the palate you'll find a pleasant minerality. Emilia Romagna is famous for the delicious cold cut products and for the famous Parmigiano Reggiano. I paired this wine with some of it and with some prosciutto crudo and, believe me, the result was incredible. Try it yourself!
