Tasting Notes

Elbling is a white grape variety from the Mosel region of Germany. This is a dry white wine that shows some great mineral structure that is so typical of the region. This is lively, fresh and light on its feet. An excellent choice for cured fish.

Staff Pick Notes

This is the unfussy style of white wine that's always good to have around: clean, tangy, and in the ever jovial 1L format. The fine spritz on here isn't quite sparkling, but it's almost sparkling. Think of the tight bubbles of Perrier that are so good at cleansing the palate between bites. It's good with food though food is definitely not a requisite. Elbling (the grape) won't overwhelm you with distinctive aromas or texture, but it doesn't really need to. Here's a perfect example of simply pleasant wine at a simple price. How easy it is to forget that we live in a world where such essential delights are understood and shared across the world. Enjoy.
