La Venenosa Raicilla

If you’re a fan of such agave-based spirits as tequila and mezcal, you’ll love raicilla. We’re sampling this traditional Mexican spirit from classic raicilla producer La Venenosa: The Costa de Jalisco is a wild expression of chili peppers, pears, and wild flowers; The Sierra de Jalisco has a beguiling profile of summer berries and tarragon; The Sierra del Tigre wows with notes of roses, hops, and vanilla custard; And the Sur de Jalisco has flavors of Sherry, geraniums, and campfire smoke.

Barr Hill Spirits

While modern spirits producers fancify with flashy flavors and a hodgepodge of botanicals, the team at Barr Hill makes an eloquent case for minimalism. Taste for yourself when we pour three selections from Barr Hill: The Barr Hill Gin does wonders with only two ingredients—juniper and raw honey; The Barr Hill Vodka is a honey-based spirit that’s delicate, floral, and sublime; And the Barr Hill Tom Cat Barrel Aged Gin is a one-of-a-kind gin that’s been aged in American oak casks and distilled with fresh raw honey.

Nuestra Soledad Mezcal

Mezcal is one of the most artisanal beverages in the world—with its centuries-old craft culture surviving to this day. Acquire a taste for this complex spirit when we pour the Nuestra Soledad San Baltazar Mezcal. Master Distiller Gregorio Martinez Garcia respects tradition and distills the Espadin agave from a single village in San Baltazar Chichicapam. Expect aromatic notes of honeydew and uncured bacon—as well as bold flavors of fruit and smoke.

Meet the Winemakers: Cab Franc and Chenin Blanc by Joguet

The Loire Valley is home to the most polished examples of Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc in the world. Taste for yourself when we sample two such wines alongside their famous producer: The Chinon “Clos de la Dioterie” from Joguet is a medium-bodied Cab Franc that’s earthy and full of wild raspberry fruit; And the Clos de la Plante Martin Blanc is a full and textured Chenin Blanc from Joguet that is utterly perfect with seafood.

Join Angéline Templier—owner and winemaker of Champagne house J. Lassalle—as we pour the “Preference” Brut 1er Cru NV in this exclusive Kermit Lynch tasting event. This is one of the rare Champagnes that has been allowed to finish malolactic fermentation—resulting in a luxurious bubbly that balances richness with energy. Taste over 70 years of tradition in this classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir.

Meet the Winemakers: Prestigious Wines of the Rhône Valley

Bored with Bordeaux? The Rhone Valley is home to some of the boldest, most exciting wines in all of France. We’ll be pouring two Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines and a Gigondas wine alongside their famous producers: Vieux Télégraphe’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc "La Crau” is a dense white blend that entices with honeysuckle aromas and baked pear flavors; Vieux Télégraphe’s Châteauneuf-du-Pape Rouge "La Crau” is a lush red blend that pairs wonderfully with lamb chops; And the Gigondas “Les Racines” from Dom. les Pallières is a truly fresh red blend with ripe berry fruit.

Mezcals of Rey Campero

Mezcal is a big hit with spirits enthusiasts as of late. If you’re still on the fence or simply curious, try the mezcals of Rey Campero—a producer sourcing and distilling wild agaves in Candelaria Yegolé, Oaxaca. We’ll pour four mezcals from this traditional producer: The Espadin Mezcal is a clean spirit with notes of spearmint, chiles, and a hint of smoke; The Wild Jabali Mezcal is a rich and nutty spirit made from a rare species of agave; The Wild Mexicano Mezcal is a salty, peppery, and pineapple-fruited mezcal that also makes use of a scarcely-seen agave type; And the Wild Tepextate Mezcal is seductive and floral with a subtle jalapeño spiciness.

If you’re searching for a new spirit to energize your summer, look no further than mezcal. We’ll be pouring an array of these distinctively smooth and smoky spirits from producers Don Amado and Mezcal Vago: The Don Amado Rustico Mezcal is silky, vibrant, and juicy-fruited; The Don Amado Reposado Mezcal is dense and honeyed with mixed peppercorn spice; The Mezcal Vago Elote is a rare mezcal that tastes of smoky-sweet corn, tropical fruits, and earth; And the Mezcal Vago Ensamble en Barro is a special blend of agave species with flavors of nectarine fruit, minerality, and savory hay.

Wines of Corsica

Corsican wines remain a remarkably well-kept secret. Now is the perfect time to discover the island’s indigenous varietals. We’re pouring three incredibly distinct Corsican wines: The Clos Venturi Rosé has a great silky texture and plenty of raspberry fruit; The Clos Venturi Carcajolu Neru drinks like a weighty Cru Beaujolais and is made from a varietal that’s very rare—even by Corsican standards; And the Dom. Vico Rouge is a small-production red that’s full-bodied and full of licorice and blackberry fruit flavors.
