Bourgogne Rouge, La Burgette - 2007

Red, France, Burgundy

The region of Burgundy has one of the least varied ranges of vine varieties. This Pinot Noir certainly proves that it's as delightful to drink today as it was yesterday. Full of freshly crushed raspberries and cherries on the palate. A wonderful match for roast chicken, duck and any cured meats.

Bourgogne Aligoté, Marcillet - 2008

White, France, Burgundy

The naturally high acidity of Aligoté is tamed in this version, which is softened by spending some time in old wood. This is a citrusy and fairly rich example of Burgundy's "other" white grape.

Beaujolais-Villages, Christophe Pacalet - 2009

Red, France, Burgundy, Beaujolais

Although we consider all of Christophe Pacalet wines accessible, this Beaujolais-Villages from him is meant to be an every day kind of quaff. The fruit is prominent and is emphasized by a refreshing acidity. Drink lightly chilled.

Beaujolais-Villages, “Le Bouteau”, Granger - 2007

Red, France, Burgundy, Beaujolais

The Granger family has been involved in making wine for over 200 years. Since Pascal Granger acquired Bernard Dalicieux’s vineyards in 2005, this special bottling called "Le Bouteau" from the fruit of those vineyards shows how worthy Beaujolais and the Gamay grape can be when the location is prime and the winemaking is serious. Rustic aromas, red fruit, and a little tannin on the end.
