Although we consider all of Christophe Pacalet wines accessible, this Beaujolais-Villages from him is meant to be an every day kind of quaff. The fruit is prominent and is emphasized by a refreshing acidity. Drink lightly chilled.

Red, France, Burgundy, Beaujolais
The Granger family has been involved in making wine for over 200 years. Since Pascal Granger acquired Bernard Dalicieux’s vineyards in 2005, this special bottling called "Le Bouteau" from the fruit of those vineyards shows how worthy Beaujolais and the Gamay grape can be when the location is prime and the winemaking is serious. Rustic aromas, red fruit, and a little tannin on the end.

This old-vine Beaujolais shows bright red fruit with underlying notes of clay and limestone minerality. Flavors of wild blackberries and currants abound, with a hint of earth just beneath the surface. Bright, lively acidity makes this an excellent food wine.

White, France, Burgundy, Beaujolais
No, your eyes aren't deceiving you: this is indeed a white Beaujolais. Chardonnay is by far in the minority when it comes to wine production in this region. This one is unoaked, ripe, and pleasantly round in texture. It has also gained incredible concentration from the impressive age of the vines.

Grown in a sandy and stony soil, the youngest Beaujolais Cru (created in 1988) is characterized by its fruitiness, suppleness and its roundness. Think of it as feminine and cheerful.
