DEW stands for Daniel E. Williams, ex-general manager of the old distillery. This Whiskey has a pale golden amber color with caramel and dried reed aromas. On the palate, more caramel and toasted nuts. Nice light spice finish.

Luckily for the consumer, it is not anymore and now you get a sense of the illegal distiling industry in rural parts of old Ireland. Drink with care. Even the tough Irish folk can't always handle it.

Unfortuntely it was not created for me, instead for Henry Conygham, the head of the family who lived at Slane Castle. A more appropriate name me thinks and created by the good folks over at Cooley Distillery.
