Kilbeggan Irish -

Ireland

Distilled at Cooley distillery, Killbegan is a careful blend of grain and malt whiskeys which yields a nice, toasty flavor. This is extraordinary whiskey at an incredible price. Replace that Jameson glass with Killbegan today. It is substantially better!

DEW stands for Daniel E. Williams, ex-general manager of the old distillery. This Whiskey has a pale golden amber color with caramel and dried reed aromas. On the palate, more caramel and toasted nuts. Nice light spice finish.

John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey -

Ireland

Luckily John L Sullivan the whiskey isn't as rough as John L Sullivan the man. Otherwise we would probably be drinking nails. Instead we have an impeccable blend of grain and malt crafted by the wonderful folks at Cooley distillery. A terrific value in the Irish Whiskey category.

Powers Irish - (LTR)

Ireland

Historically, Jameson's biggest Dublin rivals, have teamed up through the Irish Distillers Group to make them an ultimate "Power" house. Slightly spicy with a honey like sweetness make this one of our preferred Irish drams. Blind taste this against Jameson and see what you think!

Bunratty Potcheen -

Ireland

Poitin (pronounced po-CHEEN) is essentially Celtic for moonshine. It is an unaged grain distillate, that since the 1600s, had always been illegal. Luckily for the consumer, it is not anymore and now you get a sense of the illegal distiling industry in rural parts of old Ireland. Drink with care. Even the tough Irish folk can't always handle it.

Slane Castle Irish Whiskey -

Ireland

I wish the bottle said "Live at Slane Castle Irish Whiskey" for its fame as a music venue. Unfortuntely it was not created for me, instead for Henry Conygham, the head of the family who lived at Slane Castle. A more appropriate name me thinks and created by the good folks over at Cooley Distillery.

Michael Collins Irish Whiskey -

Ireland

Michael Collins was the main architect of the Anglo-Irish Treaty in 1921 which declared Ireland's independence. He was an absolute legend, like the whiskey, that is produced from Ireland's only independent distillery. A perfect blend that doesn’t fall short of its nickname as ‘the heroic spirit.’
