Chablis, Gilbert Picq - 2022

Item # 14963 750mL

With yields kept very low, this village level Chablis has the breeding of a premier cru. It is always flinty and minerally, with notes of green apple and grapefruit. This is classic Chablis at its best.

Staff Pick Notes

One of my passions in the Wine & Spirits world is finding spectacular value.... This is a perfect example..... Picq has crafted a classic mineral-driven Chablis at a price accessible for every pocket book -- This one is dry, crisp with refreshing, lemon flavors and minerality that pops! Picq keeps yields very low, so the wine is always nervy, flinty. Bright notes of grapefruit, lime and yellow flowers round out this cuvée -- a real steal, considering it has the breeding of a Premier Cru at several times the price.

It is a flexible, eager-to-please grape, responding well to just about anything a winemaker...
