Often times to get gorgeous, mineral-driven whites that express the soil that they are grown in you expect to be going for Sancerre or Chablis and paying those premiums. However we have a great everyday option. Ischia Bianco is your answer. Coming to us from the volcanic island of Ischia which is just off of Naples. This wine shines, bringing those volcanic soils, and a fresh Mediterranean breeze from across the Atlantic. Utilizing obscure Italian grape varietals, Biancolella and Forestera, we're ending up with vino that has awesome saline notes, fresh lively acidity, chamomile and fresh cut grass. We're drinking this wine with Chilean Sea Bass topped with a lemon caper white wine pan sauce. And probably opening a second bottle.
