So as the summer season progresses I want to explore as many styles of rum as possible! I was excited to try this Zafra 21 year (zafra means harvesting of sugarcane) because of the long aging in such a climate. The talent of the master blender is evident in the complex aromas and very nicely integrated alcohol on the palatte. This is a sipper that you may just pour into the glass and simply enjoy from the very first sniff and sip! This is a bit drier than some other richer styles and perfect with a cigar! I might also add that a 21 year old whiskey would never sell for this price!! Rum... what a deal!
