Like the other Excellia tequilas, the reposado has been aged in ex-Sauternes and ex-Cognac casks. But this is not simply a progression from the blanco. The reposado is a totally different tequila with a world of new aromas and flavors you won't find in the blanco. Notes here include banana chips, fresh hay, candied walnuts, vanilla yogurt, dried herbs, butterscotch, minerals and milk chocolate wafers. One of the more complex reposados on the market today and with the high degree of tension between flavors here, somehow it all works without overwhelming the palate.
