Tasting Notes

Owned and run by winemaker Ignacio Valdera, the Los Bermejos winery is on the easternmost island of Lanzarote. Conditions are windy and extreme and the soils are purely volcanic in content. This sparkling wine, made with the méthode Champenoise, is made from the Malvasia Volcanica grape variety which is a cross of Malvasia Aromatica and the local Marmajuelo.

Staff Pick Notes

Wow! What a neat and delicious wine. Made on the Canary Islands, one of the most inhospitable wine regions in the world.
