Staff Pick Notes

Many people don't know just how vibrant the local spirits scene is. Gin is one of my favorite spirits categories but its so misunderstood. Additionally, Greenhook founder Steve DeAngelo is a terrific guy, so I really enjoy supporting his delicious, well made products! Greenhook Beach Plum Gin Liqueur is essentially sloe gin but Long Island beach plums are used instead of sloe berries. Whole Fruit maceration (pits and skins included) is performed for 6 weeks, then pressed to extract a lovely, decadent elixr. Plums, raisins, and blackberries and a healthy dollop of spice are on the nose and palate. Sweet, savory lovelyness! Here's the world easiest summer cocktail. Tall glass, fill with ice. -1.5oz of Greenhook Beach Plum -Fill with fresh lemonade -Top with club soda or craft tonic. -Give it a good stir with a tall spoon
