A deeper, golden Savagnin that shows a rustic, flor-tinged flair. This Savagnin displays an evolving nose of beeswax and walnuts across a fuller palate struck by an oxidative, sherry-like complexity. Fine and saline, and sure to please lovers of grand, Jurassic Savagnin. The region's best Savagnin is produced from poor soils underlain by “marne grise,” and the Crinquand Savagnin is planted in a singular one hectare parcel of compact grey marl. This wine was vinified in large, old oak barrels and left there to age about four years before bottling,
