Part of my family comes from this part of Italy. I remember when I was a child driving around with my dad around the Euganean hills. I remember those beautiful views. The name of this wine, Belvedere, reflects these views. Beautiful vineyards and a very good wine. Earthy and spicy, herbal, full body, medium tannin with a long finish with a pronounced dark plum flavor. Complex but at the same time easy to drink, and fresh! A wine that I would pair with ribs or steak. It used to be blended in Chianti but not anymore. It can stand by itself! Not the most known and recognized Italian grape variety at the moment, but I have good hopes!
