This Vin Mute is a ground-breaking entry into the Floc category from the regal Chateau de Leberon estate in Tenareze. Made from 100% Colombard wine fortified with the house's Armagnac and put into solera in 1987! You've never tasted anything quite like this. Notes include bitter orange, clover honey, dried apricots, red licorice, a hint of brown butter, butterscotch and spices. Mix with Champagne for a decadent yet simple cocktail, serve as dessert or a sublime drink after a great meal, preferably with an eclectic selection of cheeses. Beautiful stuff.

One of two sister domaines run by fourth generation Armagnac distiller sisters, Caroline and Sophie, Chateau de Leberon has been creating iconic brandies since 1939. They produce truthfully to the nature of their grapes and their cask management and use completely direct fire column stills, no sugar, no color, no water, and no food additives. Their Vin Mute de Gascogne serves as an aperitif, made from 100% Colombard. The wine is then fortified using Leberon's own Armagnac stocks and put into Solera in 1987. A vivacious bouquet of tangerine, dried apricot, butterscotch, caramel vanilla, and hazelnut spread. It has the sweetness of the white wine base along with the complexity and savoriness provided by the Armagnac addition. This makes an excellent digestif or dessert pairing and is a testament to Caroline and Sophie's work.
