Staff Pick Notes

ATTENTION CHABLIS FANS: You may be aware that some Greek white wines offer similarities to this specific style of Chardonnay. You also may be more familiar with Assyrtiko when it comes to Greek white wine grapes, as it seems to be their most popular white wine on American shores. If you enjoy lean, high energy whites then it's time to try Robola. Just like Assyrtiko, the grape loves island life, thriving primarily on the Ionian & Peloponnese islands, rather than Santorini. The wine is characterized by a bouquet of citrus, including grapefruit & lemon with white flowers occasionally intermingling on the fray. Salinity backs up the fruity, floral flavors & begs to be paired with a classic chicken kebab or veal atop rice pilaf with avgolemeno sauce. It certainly won't hurt to try a bottle at this price, but I bet you'll be back for more!
