Lock Stock & Barrel 18yr Rye Whiskey

One of the oldest ryes currently available (albeit in extremely limited quantities) this fine whiskey was double distilled from a 100% rye mash and aged for its entirety in new charred American oak casks before being bottled at a robust 109 proof. The whiskey is rich and intense as is to be expected but the nearly two decades in barrel have helped it pick up shades of subtlety and instead of covering it up, the final whiskey has retained them adding to the intrigue and sense of balance you'll find here. Notes include shortbread, fresh ginger, grilled peaches, toasted coconut, black pepper and tobacco.
