Rhubarb will always remind me of my grandmother. I assisted in harvesting the stalks that grew in her tiny garden plot. Every time she warned me never to eat the leaves, or I would be sorry. We would then dice them with plenty of sugar and mix it with strawberries to bake pies. In my adult years I do not have enough rhubarb in my life! My friend visited from Berlin for the first time and was shocked that she couldn't order a rhubarb cocktail at any old bar. This rhubarb liqueur from Giffard is here to save us! Exceedingly versatile in cocktails, the bright and tart flavors improve and expand the profile of many drinks like a paloma! Add some to a margarita! It's a bit like the citrus of vegetables, and it belongs in your next drink.
