Staff Pick Notes

Just a beautifully rich white Burgundy from Jean Yves Devevey. From the sometimes overlooked Rully village in the Côte Chalonnaise region in Saône-et-Loire, this bottling comes from an excellent vintage and is a sublime pleasure to sip on. Showing golden yellow color, great texture and very nice length, this La Chaume brings a creamy complexity of elderflower and honeysuckle together with a flinty, citrusy minerality. Hints of buttery vanilla complement but don't overshadow the full-bodied excellence of this wine, which would pair beautifully with grilled salmon, mahi mahi, or hard cheeses. A simply gorgeous Chardonnay. Santé!

It is a flexible, eager-to-please grape, responding well to just about anything a winemaker...
