The vines are older, planted in schist soils at altitudes ranging from 400-700 meters on the right bank of the Douro river. Fresh yet complex and fuller in body on the palate.

A still white wine from Douro valley the land of Port. I didn't have any expectations, but this wine delivered personality with flair. It opens with subtle aromas of flowers and herbal tea. On the palate a sensation of salty ocean water with crisp asian pear. Fragile, tingling acidity. It's also very consistent.Trying it over time it didn't fade at all. If anything the intensity increased over time. Made from a blend of Arinto and Rabigato grapes planted at high altitudes (400 - 800 mt above seas level) there is more complexity than the average quaffing white. An extraordinary aperitif. Any seafood would be complimentary, particularly if it's raw. But perhaps most ideal would be a plate of briny olives and sardines.
