Azienda Agricola Villa Angarano is located in the easternmost part of the Breganze DOC in the Veneto. This is made from Vespaiolo, a native white grape planted in alluvial soils planted at 120 masl allowing for cool nights. Aged on the lees for months before bottling. Dry, voluptuous with aromas of citrus fruits.

What a great dry wine that is worth a try from a grape I had never heard of, Vespaiolo. Vespaiolo is best known for making a passito style dessert wine. Very often when made into a dry wine the acidity is bracing with not much to balance. So while this is a very tart wine it has fruit and crisp minerality that make for a very delightful overall expirence.
